Lots of Q's hector31! Only about 50 wells have been drilled in Allen Dome, all in the mid-1900's (post-WW2 to 1960's), and most v shallow. A lot of fault compartments have probably not yet been penetrated at crest (that's what TTE are banking on). Thickness of this zone is remarkable; often they are just a few feet thick. One or more early wells might have tapped the same reservoir zone down-dip and now be depleted, or were originally below the oil/water contact (unproductive). Note that reservoirs around salt domes in TX are often 'stacked' (repeated vertically, with sealing formations between them).

If TTE get good flows from this zone they are in the box seat because they have 3D seismic (the old-timers didn't), they have access to all the existing previous well history, and they control most of the Dome's best acreage.

Note also that the lost-circulation zone at the bottom of the hole could well be the best section yet, t/be tested in a later well.
