tangey my friendly response to this is:
backofbeyond, EMR holders have been factually diluted because circa 51M new EMR shares were issued to non-EMR shareholders as part of the offer.
Woodside shareholders experienced a similar "so called dilution" when they took on the BHP share of the Scarborough gas field. Market didn't like it initially but look at where they are now. Not cross promoting as I am not a Woodside holder although I am kicking myself now that I didn't buy some when they were down around $15/share and unloved!
Difference is Oil went up and Gold has gone down and a few Goldies facing the chopping block making the sector look poisonous at the moment.
