It is interesting as you say, that it wasn't forthcoming, though MEL don't surprise me in that. However it is just as interesting that over on Commsec the announcement, though listed for a good hour or so now, is NOT AVAILABLE to read at all.
Another company of mine NKP, put an announcement out about the same time on Commsec, and IT is available to read.
Anything smell whiffy here.....? Could MEL legal folk have asked Commsec to hold off while they look over it I wonder?

And in regards to Masterfoods query about the wording of the shareholder proposal; I took it as "the proposal was presented on behalf of a group REPRESENTING >5%, rather than comprising only shareholders each with >5%".
Others may care to clarify, I agree it reads slightly ambiguously - a MEL strength.
