Exactly.
Just as I think it's smart to follow the 'smart money' so I believe it's clever to follow 'smart appointments.' When a small, minnow company appoints a leader from within a giant, world leading company this is a smart appointment. And we've seen so many of these smart appointments since Wayne Paterson took the helm, Mark Ziirsen (Cochlear to AHZ) Scott Bliss (Baxter to AHZ) David Saint Denis (Merck to AHZ) Simon Buckingham (Actelion to AHZ) Natalee Kestler (Baxter to AHZ) and there have been others....
Following the smart appointments is an excellent form of scuttlebutt research as the leading industry experts are acting as your guides. It's not a perfect guide although I've found it to be a very accurate indicator of future success in the past.
