Whether the company does or does not end up commercializing its revolutionary technology itself is irrelevant..... as that is the path it must be seen to be following.

Mr Paterson conduct an interview such as the one in "CEO Magazine" and be like, "well, it'd be great if we could go it alone, although it's not realistic, and so what we're doing is sitting around at HQ biding our time until someone makes us an offer and we can pack up and retire."
No.
Makes us look WEAK.
We have to look STRONG.
So again, Mr Paterson has no choice but to appear both in his words and his actions that Anteris is fully committed to going it alone.
Mr Paterson is smart and knows this.
