If you knew you were going to get killed why would you buy the share in the first place, pretty retarded don't you think,

And any way, were investing for the next 10/20 years, we don't give a shit what happens inside all the noise,

We're getting paid to stay invested and we're going through the market cycles upwards,

Anyway, here's where we are in this cycle, in my opinion,

I don't follow rules at the best of times unless they make complete sense and I can benefit from those rules,

I use 30 day exponential moving average,

I look at the relative strength line( like the book says)

If the relative strength is going up then look at the stock a bit closer, particularly if you use a scanning tool, the book doesnt mention a scanning tool which most programs have today,

You can write some code for you scanning tool to use relative strength as one of your criteria,

I use a 5 year chart,

I use a monthly chart,

With these rules I only focus on my blue chips, obviously one needs some due diligence on the sector your looking at,

On specs the only rules are, get in early and sell at the top, buy low sell high,
