All this shows how if you repeat things enouhh times people will believe anything.
gas is not going anywhere and will become very expensive with time. Renewables have no hope of replacing oil and gas for atleast 20-30 years if not a lot lot longer. 2100 maybe.
battery technologically is limited by the laws of thermodynamics and material science. energy density of
battery is 2 orders of magnitude lower than hydrocarbons.
the climate challenge will be solved by companies like woodside by replacing coal with gas and doing later scale CCUS.
People have no clue about the scale of the system so here is a fact. 2 billion vehicles on the road today. 100 million new produced each year. Even if magically you turn every factory into 100% EV, it will take 20 years just to replace the fleet.
woodside needs to stick to it's core business of oil and gas not get distracted by the hype. Oil and gas is required today to keep people alive and will be required in the future.
