Don't forget that the Mauritania drilling will kick off soon and it has the potential to add over 500mbbl to WPL's reserves - so fundies are getting set. Yes the oil price helps and it will fall back a bit if oil does, but its up from there IMHO. I said 6 mon ths ago here a number of times that WPL having breached $25 then much faster than anticipated that its new target is $35.
I also believe there may be some "defense" of WPL going on in response to the rumour that BHP is thinking of a merger offer (with its O&G business) - valued at $28 per WPL share.
So be careful shorting - other than VERY short-term!! LOL
