Those of you who push the mantra of protectionism for our Australian companies would do well to remember that our multinationals (BHP and co) not only takover local companies in other countries but exploit their resources as well.
If the rest of the world adopted a protectionist approach then Hardman would not be about to pump millions of barrels of oil from an overseas country.
There should be NO protection of our local companies to foreign ownership.
If shareholders want to sell to the highest bidder, they should be allowed to do so.
