WPL buy, page-277

This is my dilemma as well; the underlying commodity has not changed between the $21-$23 share price and the current $16-$17. It can only mean smarter investors than us see LNG and oil falling more and more and more and more. I mean when oil price was NEGATIVE on April 20th, WPL was $20. Then when oil rallied back to $40 (from negative) WPL rose to $23.

Any investor in WPL means you do NOT AGREE with the pundits who say oil and LNG are finished in the world. I said coal was finished years ago when it became clear renewables would become cheaper - and they can replace coal power generation. re LNG... what replaces that. BHP are replacing their tankers diesel engines with LNG engines from next year. Why did BHP not choose a windmill or solar panels for their tankers?

When I read from 'experts' re the future of LNG (the positive future) are they (the LNG industry experts) just wrong? Are they talking their own book. Are 100% of brokers and analysts just wrong? If 'yes', what is the point of reading and consuming any analysts views on any company or commodity.

Personally, I think the market is so, so wrong re WPL. I hope I am correct, and Mr Market is wrong. It will be quite unpleasant for any $20 holder to see $10. Ouch. This $16 is painful enough.... for a profitable, blue chip, nice balance sheet company.

With Donald and Melania having covid, I guess Monday may bring a $15 handle. Then I will buy some (in outright fear, but with greed). At some stage we get to the "better and safer than bank interest" stage. Heck, we are there now!
