    I think we (or perhaps only I ) like to believe analysts when it reinforces our beliefs, and also distrust them when it suits us. We do it with doctors, political analysts, religion, etc. We use the information to confirm our bias. Having said that, there is no way the world suddenly migrates to majority renewable energy in the short-to-medium term. We don't have the ability to produce or store the energy. I don't know why the price has crashed in the past few weeks. It's more due to sentiment than oil slipping from $42-43 per barrel to the high 30s to $40. Commsec also has WPL as "Strong Buy" among five of five analysts. Analysts must be right! But if I read an article negative on energy prices, I dismiss it as being wrong!

    I watched this short video last week which talks about renewable energy. The first couple of minutes are worth watching. It explains how renewables have a place, but are unable to provide the energy we need:
