Unfortunately Woodside like every other oil and gas producer is a price taker. That is, it does not set the price of oil or gas
Owning Infrastructure assets like North West shelf Infrastructure will be looked at favourably by whesale investors. It basically secured part of their income and negates the risk uncertainty associated with a fluctuating oil price set by external factors.
you only need to look at the share price performance of Australian Pipeline Trust over the past 15 years which owns pipelines
