I don't understand the cost calculations. They don't make sense. Woodside's North West Shelf has sufficient gas volumes to keep the facility at full capacity until around 2025, leaving the option open to pipe gas from the Browse Basin at a fraction of the cost of onshore or FLNG . The original development plan for Browse, (before that idiot Barnett pushed for JPP and later Shell for FLNG) was to pipe gas from the offshore Browse Basin to the North West Shelf gas plant at Karratha, which I have always maintained is still a very technically viable and more feasible option. WPL need to stop playing to other interests.
