I am new to WPL,but not to the Phoenix partnerhip, WPLs neighbour to the east of its 2 new recently-awarded exploration and operatorhip permits (WA 467-P and WA-465-P).
Phoenix has WA 435-P and WA 437-P which share a common boundary with one of the 2 WPL permits mentioned(WA-465-P).
If it is all about getting enough gas to allow WPL to go ahead with its 2nd Karratha LNG train,and if the 2 Phoenix permits are almost as close to Karratha as the 2 new WPL permits (which is the case) then the 2 Phoenix permits that opened a farm-in situation last Monday should be of considerable interest to WPL.
The 2 Phoenix permits have an unrisked gas-in-place highside resource estimate of 11.87 TCF.
Go to the CVN announcement on Phoenix dated 15 December last and you will see what I am talking about. CVN is a 50% partner in Phoenix with Finder Exploration,an unlisted,Perth-based company.
