I'm trying to keep positive too.
When we have a little slump I take the long term view.
This company will be producing oil at a substantial rate in 15-16 months. Tiof will inevitably kick in and bump that rate even higher. $1.80 or $2.00 does not account for that level of production.
Maybe we will see some success from other exploration areas such as Uganda and Guyane down the track.
I doubt strongly that the company has finished finding oil and/or gas off Mauritania.
They are having a bad trot and it is frustrating but it won't last.
I can't accept that WPL would bid 1:5 but HDR is an attractive group of assets at $1.80. 1:8 or even 1:10 would be more WPL's style.
Maybe another player will come out of the shadows.
The point is, short term volatility is only a bummer if you have a short term view.
Go long.
Try not to look at it!
