Mmm back in April/May last year it was BHP all the way, and Sinosteel was looking at taking a strategic stake .. now it's FMG (apparently) and the strategic stake is held by a Chinese golf Pro, a Toy company and the Wah Nam receptionist.
Interesting reading if you can cope with flash-backs. All very quiet on the Sinosteel front since this fracas began.

"UPDATE 10am: Shares in Brockman Resources jumped as much as 7 per cent this morning as the iron ore hopeful announced a deal with China?s biggest steel trader over its flagship Pilbara project.
Sinosteel and Brockman have agreed to discuss "strategic investment options" as part of an offtake deal over the Marillana project, annouced today."
The memorandum of understanding, signed at Sinosteel's Perth office yesterday, will see the Chinese group buy as much as half of future production, up to 10 million tonnes a year from Marillana, 100km north-east of Newman.
Brockman shares were 12? higher to $3.88 at 10am, having earlier traded as high as $4.05.
