there’s far too much focus here on an assay delays…
it happens, a lot - they just got unlucky. I have waited over a month for lab results that should have been < 2 weeks due to a part failure on a machine and lack of backup availability (would have had to send the sample overseas).
To rectify issues takes time and effort, both from the technical staff and the lab.
If you were to change labs (assuming there is a lab with capacity) you need to at a minimum.
1. Reassess / reneg contracts
2. Conduct further testing and analysis to verify your results from one lab to another (compatibility).
3. Work through new testing guidelines and procedures, even though there are minimum standards no lab operates exactly the same
For a small group like winsome it’s far better to try and rectify the issues and move forward as a team, especially if the issues are resolvable, with a contingency in place.
Not a real concern.
