The Renard Diamond Plant, set for transformation by Winsome Resources into a lithium facility, comes with a substantial infrastructure that includes a dense media separation system, mining jaw crushers, cones, high-pressure grinding rolls, and ore sorting capabilities. Additionally, the site is equipped with an operational airport, power plant, maintenance workshops, warehouse facilities, water treatment plant, and mine tailings deposition site. It also has administrative buildings and a 4-season access road that connects to the provincial road network and the national railway system, enhancing resource transportation to key destinations.
Winsome Resources (WR1) has outmaneuvered the LU7 Dream Team's plans to establish a processing hub by getting ahead with the Renard processing facility. This move promises to be far more cost-efficient, potentially saving hundreds of millions compared to the projected billion-plus costs of a new build. Chris Evens highlighted their strategy to turn this facility into a central processing hub for regional miners, indicating a significant shift in the competitive landscape.
Right now WR1 is on a massive re-rerate journey that could see it get to 600m MC by mid year imo.
