Forums like these are very easy to derail. You get people posting bait, the bait gets taken, the baiter responds, and around we go.
HC matters (unfortunately) because there are few other places where prospective buyers can easily read free opinion and analysis about a stock. Sifting through HC is a starting point. Of course HC sucks, we all know this, but there is occasionally good info.
You'll never stop the down-spammers, baiters, drama queens, and those who take the bait.
So the thing to do might be to keep an index of posts you find important and informative, and then regularly provide links at the bottom of your posts. This sort of thing:
