If what you're saying is correct and the supply of ex-China EVs lags for a few years while development catches up with this new reality, that's actually good for WR1. Demand will merely be deferred, which means buyers backed up for the vehicles produced using WR1 feed from ~2028.
regionalization of markets is what WR1 holders should want.
