Worth noting that Winsome's neighbor (sic) Patriot Battery Metals, besides its market cap going for a gallop up to A$670m, has just appointed Ken Brinsden, ex MD at the now $13b market cap Pilbara Lithium, as its non-executive chair. Fair to say that KB is a serious heavy hitter in the lithium space, not only picking up Altura for a steal but setting up the disruptive BMX lithium auctions. Would not think that KB took the Patriot gig for a bludge. KB and our own Winsome MD Chris Evans would know each other as CE was chief operating officer at Altura before Pilbara struck.

Also heard the current PLS MD - Dale Henderson - agree in a recent conversation with the dudes from RK Equity that Pilbara is sitting on an ocean of cash and towards the end of this calendar year they will turn their minds to whether they buy some more assets. He said his preference is in WA but if he had to go elsewhere it would be north america. You reckon Pilbara would get some warm referrals into the Canadian lithium industry from KB.

Allkem is another big bopper in lithium that has a mass of cash and not much in the development pipeline for after 2025. They have the 40mt hard rock project at James Bay in central Quebec queued up waiting for environmental clearance to be developed for production by mid 2024. They are not, as someone here suggested the other day, anywhere near neighbours to Cancet but are right next door to the main highway joining Cancet to mineral infrastructure down south.
