Argentine Chamber of Mining Companies rejects possible royalty hike - MINING.COM
Looks like the Argentine Government is considering a proposal to more than double mining royalities in Argentina.
Interesting language - rejects - they might object but it looks very much like a decision for the government not an industry body.
But who knows in Africa and South America! (*cough* sovereign risk *cough*).
Will be fascinating - if it comes to pass, we are likely to see a lithium deficit earlier and more pronounced than anticipated.
That should also have a material impact on their competitiveness - ergo spot prices rise and assets in Canada become an even better investment.
