This interview with the Ford CEO is excellent.

He is right about the push towards biodirectional batteries and their use as grid storage is one reason why lithium demand is going to keep growing robustly regardless of whether hybrids have a bigger place in the future or not.

Its interesting that business have been early adoptors in the US because EVs/hibrids are superior for that use case. Those vehicles tend to drive more miles and need to take their power with them - moving say worksites from generator powered to battery powered as they go.

Plenty of talk in here about needing to be comfortable with where material come from and are refined, as wel as how that occurs. And of course the need for a NA supply chain as you cannot rely on Argentina supply and China processing. Needs to be US based or wih friendly countries.

He is also clear that EVs are the future - not just because they are green - but because they are superior. But that people will need to get their on their own. People are using vehicles more and more in place - thus the battery becomes a critical upside as you take your power with you.

Entirely sensible views on autonomy and on data privacy - two issues I have raised previously.

Forget the noise from muppets about lithium being dead. Very much alive and Winsome better placed than any other to capitalise in the next few years.
