    100% agree.

    That the narrative is oversupply and that investors have dumped lithium stocks on mass makes a very interesting contrast to what up and coming companies have been saying about the intense interest from strategics.

    The oversupply narrative has been overwhelming, albeit that you can see enough fabrication in some of the stories to take that narrative with more than a pinch of salt. The stories of amazing new novel sources of lithium in China; amazing low cost lepidolite production; huge new supply from 'Africa'.

    Yeah, righto.

    But regardless of global macro supply and demand, the West will need to secure its own supply for its own security, but so too do non-Chinese companies who want a share of the global battery manufacturing/EV market (the Chinese have been very active in doing this already).

    If you are a very large company like say LG, and you need certainty of supply to ensure you can continue to provide your products to the market, how much are you willing to pay as a premium above market rates to make sure that happens? I'm willing to be a fair bit.
