it takes 18-24 months from planning to completion for a conversion facility. There is plenty of time before say H2 2027 when Adina-Renard produces first SC.
WR1 mgmt have repeatedly intimated they will partner with a converter and keep it all in Quebec, and implied this is what the Quebec govt would view as favourable.
Further downstream the deals are done for battery plants, with generous subsidies and tax credities provided by federal and provincial govts. The missing pieces of the supply chain puzzle are upstream -- mining and conversion.
