China is alot more measured than most would understand. They ultimately favour peace and development, not war.
If they did want to move on Taiwan - all they would need to do is impose a naval quarantine of the island and it would capitulate within afew months.
Not a single shot need be fired in anger. If the US would make a move then the nuclear deterrence card comes into play - because effectively the US is attacking China's sovereignty hence nuclear exchange is possible.
Costs and capacity are in the favour of the East - yet the West wants to fight the economic trend and reality.
It is beyond comical.
