Simply, the West can not afford to lose that 90% of world silicon chips.
Theres no softly softly about this. Theres no let Taiwan fold under the soft choke hold of China. When china make their move, you say to quarantine the island, that is a stranglehold. And the USA will not allow Taiwan to choke. USA shipping that will cross that blockade attacked, That is an act of war.
And game on. Then you will have deployment of USA to AUS as base. And China will respond in attempting to cut AUS off. Certainly exports kaput.
Is that why they are flying war exercise incursions over Taiwan...
