80% of Merc battery for Korean market has made from Farasis. Farasis battery already issued in US and Europe as well. Same fire issue in US last year then recall all Merc EV last year and checked batteries. However, EQE in Korea this time has exactly same issue and start burning itself without doing anything (the car wasnt in charging or didnt even driving couple of days). After this happening, Hyundai and Kia announced their battery information and those brand will announce which battery will adapt for new cars in the future. After Hyundai & Kia, BMW released their battery supplier (All car equiped Samsung SDI & CATL), Polestar (CATL) and other brand will open battery information soon. I think it would be good idea and other countries should adapt and transparent battery supplier for EV. Im not too sure whether its good news for winsome or not. One obvious thing is that Chinese battery has quality issue. Made in China again.
