I'm not sure the date their DD on the sector determined a no for WR1, however I don't believe for one minute that they moved on to other options due to time to market.
It was due to affordability - what they would have had to pay, and the potential for concluding a successful takeover.
There's no point them admitting that and pumping a stock they couldn't afford or successfully negotiate with though...
Or maybe it's as simple as little Kevvy sending them some of his own DD and scared them off lol.
