We got some clarity around African prices on Friday, with Zimbabwe Spodumene CIF China prices being uploaded to SMM. Until now it's been a guessing game, and the numbers support the fact there's no Lithium price as it's different from Australian 6% CIF China, Brazilian 6% CIF China and also from the generally shared 6% CIF China price. When we compare this to some Canaccord numbers shared, if we accept the numbers are valid it would appear that even few of the Zimbabwean producers are profitable.

So in Aus, we've established only Greenbushes is currently profitable. Brazil, held up as The Place To Be (Victorians will understand that is a friendly dig at Dan wink.png); Sigma not currently profitable.

How many will continue to operate at a loss? If there's one thing we should all learn from this (there's many lessons here) but we should know the numbers, and not use Denis Denuto's arguments to support our investment thesis. Each mine is different.
