Yes Malibu, clearly Rio has been sniffing around Quebec spodumene. A couple of things the Money of Mines lads said last night struck me as strange, one being that Rio is mainly interested in Arcadium for its brine and it's Quebec spodumene is a hindrance to the deal. Rio is a hard rock miner, is already massively invested in Quebec through aluminium, and is the active operator in its JV with Midland on the Trieste Formation. If there are tier one spodumene projects in Quebec surely Rio would be interested.
