As I recall, CXO's strip ratio at their ~3Mt Grants deposit is something like13:1, being a moderately deep, narrow pegmatite, with some underground mining involved as well. After that they aim to mine the BP33 deposit on an underground basis. In comparison, the Cancet deposit seems like a much easier mining proposition, being of similar size at present to Grants but much closer to surface and somewhat higher grade. Any extensions to the present definition of Cancet should make it a very viable operation.
