Ideally all lithium producers should have only allowed for maximum say 80% of their production to be under offtake agreements so that a sizeable chunk could be auctioned or sold on the spot market under the producers control (like PLS BMX etc.) and not under China obscure spot and futures market. Hopefully this trend of selling their un contracted production themselves and perhaps reducing the future offtake agreements to have a greater spot market will continue
