WR1 is a spin-off from MTC listed on the ASX.
IPO'd in November
Raised 18m cash
141m shares on issue.
Top 20 holds over 50%
They hold 3 100% owned lithium tenements
Cancet (most advanced with a fair amount of drilling and metwork), Remains very open west, north east and east. Theres is also indication that their could be a parallel structure to the north. Mineralization starts from surface with significant spodumene outcropping. A lot of underexplored areas that could hold lithium under shallow cover. Possible certain areas can be linked together with more drilling.
Adina (lower grade, limited drilling but open in all directions) good potential, highly prospectiveSirmac, litlle exploration, no drilling or exploration targets, prospectivity moderate to high
While drilling is expensive Canada, WR1 has the benefit of a significant tax rebate for mining. Previous owners MTC received 95% of the amount they claimed for.
Note that a big tick for Cancet is access to low cost hydropower, and is right next to the highway. it is among other lithium mines that have been permitted by the canadian government.
Tier 1 Jurisdiction.
Cancet is considered High grade, low Fe levels (impurities), high Tantalum. The spodumene is of a coarse grain nature. Everything points to a low cost operation.
"In addition, an initial metallurgical assessment was completed, indicating that the pegmatite at Cancet is amenable to simple coarse crushing and gravity separation. Metallurgical testing indicated that coarsely crushed 10mm and 5.6mm material (based on drill core) could yield 89% to 91% recovery of the contained lithium to a grade of >6.4% Li2O via Dense Media Separation (DMS)."At Cancet
Elevated Ta2o5 across the majority of the identified mineralisation
Average Li2o across all channels measured higher than the major lithium deposits in Quebec.
15-25Mt is what they can safely say could be achievable based on resource estimations. A company is not able to put this figure as an estimate without going by data they already have. As stated above if along strike and depth continues to show economic widths and grades then it could well exceed this.
Resource estimation is based on.. 15Mt at cut-off of 0.5 Li2o vs 25Mt at 0.03 Li2o.
Below cancet can be recognized via the circles marking the drill collars on the very left of the image
Extensions and Previous Drilling
Highlights below. Very good interceptions of exceptional grade and width.
AdinaDecent grade however the widths are not like they are at cancet, minerilazation also seems to be deeper.
Sirmac
Spodumene-bearing pegmatites have been identified approximately 3km west on the adjacent Nemaska Lithium Property. There are no notable changes in the mapped local surface geology between the Nemaska Lithium Property and the eastern portion of the Sirmac-Clapier Project..
Upcoming workflow of all three projects. Not in year two they plan to go about a DFS.
Decent exploration spend coming up for WR1, Money will be rapidly put to use in the warmer months!
For comparison to others in the market refer to Canada project review thread.
High conviction play for me and have steadily been accumulating. I feel this team is going to do their best to create awareness which will in turn provide value to shareholders. They have recently listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and will soon be listing on the OTC
The Germans have been investing furiously in the battery metals sector and ASX companies. Many companies have placed themselves in the thick of it including EMN, EGR, Altech, VUL etc situating themselves in the heart of Europe. I hope to see big investment coming in from big companies such as Thyssenkrup and the likes.
Mr Evans has been in charge of finance and off take deals. Has considerable experience in bringing a lithium mine into production. This mine was PLS!!! My take now that the sector has heated up he wants to capitalize and not have it taken away for a measly 200m like last time.
Good luck to holders! I see 120+ market cap leading into the first drill program for Winsome.
