you definitely have a valid point about the negative media sentiment likely to follow the next announcement... something I have mentioned a few times before.
I believe that they will focus on the write-downs almost exclusively... and ignore any news about how well the underlying business is doing. I don't think that the market will take this very well, even though these write-downs are expected and fully priced into the current sp IMHO. Even the possibility that there will be a bounce due to the write-downs not being as bad as that expected...
The only other possiblity is that Glenn will release such a strong plan for going forward that it will take uncertainty out of the stock and likely get a positive bounce.
I think that your plan of re-purchasing your shares at a lower price after the announcement (as I believe that you stated before - correct me if I'm wrong) is probably likely to succeed. For me though, I'm happy to hold (av entry ~0.50c) and will pick up more if the price drops again...
... at the moment I'm in the strange position of egging the shorters on for the next few weeks until I'm all in, and only then I'll want to see the price rebound :)
