ur numbers are wrong - uve mixed USD vs AUD for acquisitions. TEVA cost over $1bn AUD - $850m USD at the time from memory (not $652m u r stating) not including capitalised integration costs which came out in about $200m. I did a rec on acquisitions a hile back and posted it somewhere on here....
TEVA wasnt the only acquisition - many others over the years, but yes, the largest by far. Typical amortization over time has taken this down to the carried value, but further hits will be subject to proving the generics line is in permanent decline.
Wouldnt be surprised to see a counter reval for the new products (WIP) esp the womens health products so that should mitigate the hit.
