SPEAKING of on the up, junior gold player Kalgoorlie-Boulder Resources lifted 40 per cent in Wednesday trading after an increase of 36 per cent for its indicated and inferred resource at its Mt Henry deposit near Norseman in the WA east.

The total inferred and indicated resource for its Norseman project now stands at 1.2 million ounces. Of that 630,000 ounces is for Mt Henry with about half of that in the indicated category.

Now there's not too much better in the current climate of having a million ounce deposit of gold.

The project has a very interesting history in that Pnina Feldman - sister to mining magnate Joe Gutnick - bought the ground about two year's ago but failed twice to have the assets floated in a backdoor listing.

Kalgoorlie-Boulders work on the project is the first since it was owned by Canadian mob Kinross and proves how quick the company has moved to improve the assets.

"With three other mineralised zones to appraise and nine other prospects within the Norseman Gold Project to explore, we are fortunate to have considerable scope for further resource additions in the future," company chairman Michael Atkins said.
