New Trader clearly has been too busy helping keep a floundering RMA afloat and not reading the newspapers. QFX has partnered with Destra and Magna Pacific to trial a VOD service however all three companies are of the view that while a commercial service will happen at some point, it is some time away yet. The strategy seems to be clear to me - build a solid customer base on the DVD mail service and then transition to VOD when the time is right. If RMA is so 21st century why does my grandfather's mixed business store in the suburbs have a higher monthly turnover than RMA? Maybe RMA could offer him a consultancy gig on how to run a business to help him through retirement.
