I do agree with that --
it's exactly not doing that and forcing political pressure against doing that that has given us what we have today--
so, we live with it
the one thing we have done is to increase the aged pension ------------ but, did we do that out of the very goodness of our hearts????
nope - we did it because there are a lot of votes out there -- and, we will continue to do it -
the one area it can all be helped is by raising rent assistance - which, will happen -- again - probably for votes -
but, at least it will assist if the rise is big enough
