Rightly so, society is increasingly tolerant and supportive of people with issues such as mental health, victims of domestic abuse, drug addicts, criminals and the like, many who have reason to behave and feel like they do.
So why can’t you draw on whatever goodness is in you to treat the nation’s elderly with similar tolerance and support?
Don’t you think that people in the winter of their lives, who feel alone and alienated and threatened by a world that is changing very rapidly in ways they don’t quite understand, have the right to express their feelings, and deserve a degree of empathy and compassion?
Instead of the malicious, spiteful vitriol of the kind you have today broadcast.
At best, your post reflects arrogant ignorance, more likely it reflects someone with a nasty, facetious, and hateful disposition.
Civil society tolerates and supports many segments of the population who face personal challenges.
Why not the nation’s elderly, as well?
