The ABF and Department of Home Affairs do not bearany responsibility for the Ruby Princess mishap.
To repeat, neither the ABF nor any ABF officerplayed any part in the mishap.

The.. avoidable consequences of the pandemic arethe Ruby Princess debacle and the hotel quarantine failures out ofVictoria.
Without either of these setbacks Australia could bein the enviable position New Zealand is in, celebrating havingeradicated the virus from our shores
....the fact is both failures (Ruby Princess &hotel quarantine) firmly rest at the feet of the federal government
....the Australian Border Force is in charge ofincoming arrivals, with the commonwealth given constitutionally articulatedresponsibility for quarantining.
Yet all I read and hear about are ......thefailures of NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian for not preventing sick passengersdisembarking the Ruby Princess at the beginning of this pandemic.
These are the responsibilities of the nationalgovernment, not the states.
How ironic that the party that built its reputationon “stopping the boats” failed to stop the one boat that really mattered, theRuby Princess.
If that isn’t a dereliction of duty I don’t knowwhat is.

I dunno either Professor, but maybe it's auniversity professor with responsibility for fact-checking and academic rigourwho either doesn't care about the truth, or is motivated by ideology and personalanimus.
