Banderastan? Owch!
Militarily, it MAY go all quiet on the Western front into the future, and everyone will rejoice, however, politically and 'electronically', the disruptions will likely increase.
I have no doubt that being historically looked upon as an economic and political basket case, and having also suffered from decades of Western 'rationing' , the RF likely wants to flex it's own muscles somewhat, and who too has a hefty neighbor with very similar views.
