Depends on the point of view. Management (CE included) know and see a lot more than we do, and must ensure they are constantly strategic in both decision making and communication for all the reasons he cited. 'Excuses', 'Arrogant', 'Defensive', OR Assertive, Strategic and Acting with Conviction. His response was extremely well crafted, and with a straight bat! Actually gave me confidence they know exactly what they're doing.
