now that foraco's rig is known to be inadequate but as they say "necessity is the mother of invention" or re-invention in this case, nothing is impossible when you consider their cash balance.

I work in the Oil & Gas industry and the drilling technology exists to drill this stuff in a horizontal manner over long strikes (Kms). Exact rig needed may not currently exist but these Engineers are very bright. I have no doubt they could prefab a made for purpose drilling system. If money is no object a machine can designed and built to collect samples economically.

Here's a simple common practice to drill out and pull strings of pipe under rivers, highways and what not. This is nothing like the huge rigs to drill into formations, but it illustrates use of directional tools.
