    But you cannot always tell. Who would have bought Apple shares in 1997 before Jobs came back? It was close to its lowest price ever, had a bunch of lacklustre products, uninspiring management, and more - probably headed for a takeover. Shares bought then cost US25c (split adjusted). Today they are $US140. It was a gamble, just as RFX is now.

    You need to look at the big picture. I looked at Apple at the time and decided no-one was going to let this company go under with all its charisma and intellectual property. Something would happen. And it did.

    In the case of RFX, renewables and batteries are the way of the future for everyone. No-one is going to let this technology disappear. So either it will make a success of itself or be taken over for a premium. Either way, shareholders are going to benefit.
