Why, because we have seen it work well in the 'early patient <4yr' subgroup of the 202 trial. Why, because the double blind trial is being conducted in that subgroup. I think ATH has the first MSA drug. All IMHO and I have been wrong before.
FYI verdiperstat is an inhibitor of myeloperoxidase(MPO). This enzyme catalyzes the generation of reactive oxygen species by activated microglia and other immune cells. The hypothesized MOA (mechanism of action) includes reduction of oxidative stress, and neuroinflammation, and countering cell death due to pathological microglia activation. - from Alzforum.
