Also some examples of public holidays not helping stock markets dodge bullets. I remember a period of time when the Chinese or Japanese market was closed owing to multiple holidays and the rest of the markets were selling off, eventually other markets stabilised- when the Asian market in question did eventually open, it was heavily sold off- no bullet dodging there.
