There is a massive difference between stroke and TBI. The mechanism of neuronal damage and the sequalae for each are quite diverse. Following on from that, whilst there may be efficacy for both, efficacy of one is certainly no guarantee of efficacy for the other. I would be amazed if a trial on severe TBI included stroke. In the medical world it would be a significant confounder and jeopardise study findings. Stroke and TBI should be treated as separate groups.
