    G'day Grant,

    Reading between the lines I detect that your vote may be "locked in". lol

    I agree with most of what you say. Particularly in the area of economic management.

    However, in looking back, I consider that the short lived Whitlam Govt. was necessary at the time to stimulate some of the social changes required. Not that all of the social changes came about during the time of his Government. It was more that it shook things up enough that a social conscience has grown in our community since that time.

    However, we have no need for such a change now (even if Latham was able or promising to bring about such a thing - which he isn't).
