    I made up a further explanation about springs for you.
    Hopefully it helps you better understand the principle, as they are well worth being able to identify.
    What we are describing is what happens before price moves higher, not the result of a move.
    In the right place (and in the right market), Springs can be very profitable, and consistently profitable.
    Some (many ??) pro-retail traders can make a living just trading 'springs and upthrusts' in the various futures markets they specialise in.

    Below are three examples I found very quickly (1-2 mins), as recently has been a good time to look for springs (after the Corona Virus lows were established)
    You can see that all the springs are really small (tiny) - that is generally a good thing (see text)
